Qualcomm is seeking a Summer Intern- CPU Power Analysis Engineer to help characterize CPU performance and power in mobile devices. You will perform CPU power/area characterization and competitive analysis using industry-standard benchmarks and workloads on sub-4nm processes. Your work focuses on physical interaction with devices to enable measurement, data collection, and validation of power behavior. This internship offers exposure to cutting-edge CPU design and power optimization workflows within Qualcomm's Interns Group.

General Summary:

As a CPU Power Analysis Engineer, you will be working on CPU performance and power characterization and conducting competitive analysis using industry standard benchmarks and workloads in sub-4nm process for mobile space. Your responsibilities lie primarily in the physical interaction with devices to enable measurement and data collection.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Graduate students major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or closely related field.
  • Good in scripting programming
  • Knowledge of IC implementation flow
  • Experience with EDA tool such as: PrimeTime, Primetime-PX, PowerArtist, Joules, DesignCompiler, Genus, Innovus, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good communicator in verbal and writing in English
  • Good understanding of Verilog/System Verilog
  • Experience with CPU micro-architecture and their power challenges
  • Experience with Perl/Tcl scripting
  • Low power intent concepts and languages (UPF or CPF)
