The Qualcomm Compute MM/AI/Virtual Platform Test team is looking for highly motivated and committed Software/Systems Test Engineer to participate in the validation of Windows Drivers on upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon Compute (Laptop/Tablet) devices. Testing would involve compute virtual platforms/pre silicon platforms, actual compute devices across Multimedia, AI, Core, Platform features The candidate will have strong technical acumen, a background in system testing, as well as Python programming experience. The candidate will work with a committed team of cross-functional engineers to commercialize exciting new features to aid Qualcomm’s expansion in this strategic business unit. The right candidate will be self driven, highly motivated and a high achiever.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, create and modifies test coverage for new feature for the Windows on ARM project
• Windows Operating system expertise and pre-silicon platform testing experience is a big plus
• Multimedia, AI, Platform features background is a big plus on compute ecosystem
• Define new test processes
• Creating innovates test approaches
• Partner with the development team to define requirements and test approaches • Developing and maintain Python based automation.
• Work closely with the development team to understand new features and develop high quality tests
• Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers.
• Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing and creating test plans
• Required knowledge of Python for automation development
• MS Degree in Computer Science or EE preferred • Experience with Python. • Technical problem solving and debugging ability • Proficient written and verbal communications skills
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, GPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, multimedia
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with SQL server and database applications
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI Familiarity with the fundamentals of the Window OS architecture

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$107,000.00 - $160,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
