Join Qube Research & Technologies as a Quantitative Researcher in the QRT Academy, driving joint research projects, PhD collaborations and academic knowledge-exchange programs. You will mentor junior researchers and collaborate closely with senior researchers, traders and technologists, providing constructive feedback and conducting regular project reviews. The role requires a PhD and at least three years of quantitative research experience (e.g. optimization, statistical modelling, portfolio construction or empirical asset pricing) and strong hands-on Python skills. You will also build and nurture partnerships with universities and position the firm as a trusted partner for both applied and theoretical research.

Your future role within QRT: 

  • Drive joint research projects, PhD collaborations, and knowledge-exchange programs that advance academic excellence.
  • Mentor junior researchers and collaborate closely with senior researchers, traders, and technology specialists.
  • Deliver constructive feedback and conduct regular research project reviews, fostering the development of advanced technical and research skills.
  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with leading universities, academic institutions, and research groups.
  • Position the firm as a trusted partner for advanced research, fostering both applied and theoretical collaborations.

Your present skillset: 

  • PhD in mathematics, statistics, machine learning, finance, computational finance.
  • Demonstrated expertise and a minimum of 3 years experience in quantitative research methods, such as optimization, statistical modelling, portfolio construction or factors/empirical asset pricing.
  • Proficiency in Python, with a hands-on approach to coding, data analysis, and research implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Active engagement with the academic and research community, including experience in building and maintaining external collaborations.
