Join Susquehanna’s Hong Kong desk as a Trade Support Analyst, partnering with traders to ensure accurate positions, P&L and smooth execution. You’ll reconcile trades, prepare delivery instructions, maintain real-time desk data, and support regulatory and exchange requirements using trading tools and automation initiatives. The role also covers post-trade issue resolution, execution support, and contributing to front-office process improvements, with regular liaison to brokers, clearing firms, and internal teams. While primarily Hong Kong–hours, you’ll collaborate with APAC colleagues for day-to-day support.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview

Susquehanna is growing across APAC, and we’re expanding our Hong Kong team with a Trader Desk Associate. This role sits at the heart of our trading operation, supporting traders and ensuring our desks run with accuracy, speed, and control.

As a Trade Support Analyst, you will work closely with traders and the broader market—handling key operational tasks, maintaining accurate positions and P&L, and ensuring smooth execution and communication. You will also gain exposure to trading systems, desk tooling, and automation initiatives. This role offers strong learning opportunities and direct insight into a fast-paced trading environment. While the role is primarily aligned to Hong Kong market hours, you’ll collaborate with regional APAC teams (including Australia) as part of day-to-day support and handovers.

What you’ll do

  • Reconcile trades, transactions, and positions across Asia trading activity

  • Prepare and submit delivery instructions for proprietary trading

  • Maintain positions, P&L, and real-time desk information

  • Support operational processes to meet regulatory and exchange requirements

  • Use trading and desk tools under trader instruction (including algorithmic tools where applicable)

  • Update and maintain trading systems, proprietary applications, and Excel tools

  • Liaise with traders, brokers, dealers/counterparties, clearing firms, and internal teams

  • Assist with execution support, recaps/reporting, and post-trade issue resolution

  • Contribute to automation and process-improvement projects, including testing and rollout support

  • Operate effectively on the trading floor and stay composed during time-sensitive situations

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, curious, and thrives in a fast-paced trading environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in a trading operations role (or similar desk-aligned function)

  • Strong technical skills – proficiency in Excel; experience with Python or SQL is a strong plus

  • Interest in automation and improving front-office processes through technology

  • Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives, or a proven solid foundation with ability to learn quickly (broader product exposure, including convertible bonds and/or fixed income, is beneficial but not required)

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluency in English plus a local language (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) to support day-to-day interaction with the local market and counterparties

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

  • A self-starter mindset – quick learner, resourceful, proactive

  • A reliable, positive, flexible team approach, including willingness to collaborate across APAC as needed

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure

  • A humble approach—comfortable asking questions and seeking clarity

What’s in it for you

  • Our flat hierarchy enables you to drive meaningful impact, by leveraging your expertise and taking ownership
  • Private healthcare with medical, dental, and vision benefits available.
  • Further your learning and career development with our Education Assistance program.
  • Employee Referral program for successfully referring high calibre talent to Susquehanna
  • A lunch allowance stipend for each day you are in the office
  • Regular social and community events including annual poker tournament.
  • Susquehanna’s matching charity gift program
