Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. C, C++), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
  • Experience with embedded security, cryptography, or secure coding practices.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience in low-level Embedded Firmware Development.
  • Experience with ARM/RISC-V Architecture.
  • Experience with of applied cryptography (PKI, Attestations, Secure Boot, etc).
  • Proficiency in RUST programming language.

In this role, you will design and implement security and crypto technologies within low-level Boot Loader and Embedded/Firmware. Drive development and testing in pre-silicon environments, performing comprehensive validation for hardware readiness. Partner with Security Assurance and Red Teams to deliver certifiable security solutions. Leverage deep knowledge of past and emerging threats to architect robust security boundaries and advanced defense mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded security solutions using secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with Silicon Engineering and other firmware teams to design and deliver integrated security solutions.
  • Develop versatile low-level drivers for crypto hardware across multiple architectures.
  • Implement and optimize cutting-edge crypto solutions, including adding side-channel protections and formal verification.
  • Advocate the adoption of secure technologies and best practices throughout the organization.
