Be a member of a growing Windows Experiences engineering team focused on delivering a high-quality, accessible native Windows app experience across hundreds of millions of devices. You will design and implement interactive UI features end-to-end, collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-continental teams, and incorporate cutting-edge AI features to enhance functionality and engagement. You will follow best practices to strengthen the Windows codebase and communicate clearly with stakeholders. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and experience in modern C++, Rust, or C# and Windows development environments.
Responsibilities
- Craft highly interactive User Interface based on high fidelity designs
- Plan, design, develop, test and deliver consumer facing features end to end in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple teams in different continents
- Follow best practices and improve the fundamentals of the Windows codebase
- Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders
- Incorporate cutting-edge AI features into the UI to improve functionality and user engagement
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of professional development experience in modern C++ (C++11 and above) or Rust or C#
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the latest AI (LLM) technologies.
- Familiarity with Windows development environments.
- Fluency in async/parallel programming models.
- Experience in architecting, building, and shipping high-scale products with engaging user-experience.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
