Amazon Studios Data Operations BI Engineer will build, maintain, and improve dashboards and recurring reports that support Studio operational and financial workflows. The role requires writing and maintaining SQL queries for reporting, metric calculation, and data validation, and translating stakeholder needs into clear visualizations. You will perform data quality checks, maintain documentation, and partner with senior BI and Data Engineers to align reports with source data and definitions. This role focuses on turning operational data into reliable, actionable metrics and visualizations to support Production, Post, Consumer Insights, and Finance.
We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer who is excited to build, maintain, and improve reports and dashboards that Studio teams rely on every day. This role focuses on turning operational data into clear, consistent metrics and visualizations, partnering closely with business stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, understandable, and useful.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical instincts who enjoy working with data, dashboards, and stakeholders, and who want to grow their technical depth over time.
Key job responsibilities
• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that support Studio operational and financial workflows.
• Write and maintain SQL queries to support reporting, metric calculation, and data validation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, actionable visualizations.
• Perform routine data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reports.
• Maintain documentation for metrics, definitions, and dashboards to support clarity and reuse.
• Support ongoing improvements to reporting workflows by identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate manual processes.
• Work with senior BI and Data Engineers to align reports to agreed-upon source data and definitions.
About the team
Studio Data Operations is the connective layer of Amazon Studios. We manage the systems, standards, and data flows that create continuity across Production, Post, and Finance. Our focus is not just on moving data, it’s on creating meaning, quality, and trust in how Studios measures and manages its operations.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design- Experience with data querying or modeling with SQL
- Knowledge of BI analytics, reporting or visualization tools like Tableau, AWS QuickSight, Cognos or other third-party tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
