Join the AWS Korea Database team as a Senior Database Sales Specialist responsible for driving revenue and success for AWS database services. You will manage relational, non-relational, database migration, and AI-enabled database services, educate account teams on database messaging and services, and partner with business development/Go-To-Market and solutions architecture teams to accelerate opportunities within strategic customer segments. You will meet or exceed revenue targets, maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasts, and develop long-term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.

We are seeking experienced enterprise IT sales specialists who can help deliver AWS database value to the Korea’s most forward-thinking customers.
Role & Responsibilities:
Sales Specialists are the ultimate owner of the revenue and success goals of their services in the accounts/territories they are assigned to. Sales Specialists are empowered to pursue, create and develop opportunities for their service. They proactively grow usage and revenue for their specific service group within a defined geographic area/territory or vertical by executing known working sales plays.
• Manage database services including relational, non-relational, database migration services and AI enabled Database services
• Educate account teams on database messaging, programs, and services
• Partner with business development/Go-To-Market specialist and solutions architecture teams to accelerate database opportunities within strategic customer segments and key accounts
• Meet or exceed annual revenue targets
• Manage a robust sales pipeline and maintain an accurate revenue forecast
• Develop long-term and strategic relationships with key accounts and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of account management experience with quota ownership, working with commercial or enterprise customers in software technology solutions sales- 3+ years of direct field sales experience in database products or services
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
- Experience positioning and selling technology solutions to new customers and new market segments
- Ability to translate customer business and technology priorities into effective technology solutions
- Good verbal and written communications skills in English and Korean
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving adoption of new and disruptive technologies- Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities
- Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives
- Technical background in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems (MIS)
