In this role, you’ll be at the center of driving AWS’s sales strategy, partnering across Worldwide Specialist Data & AI teams to deliver business insights, optimize investments, and drive revenue. You’ll collaborate with senior Sales, Business, Engineering, and Finance leaders on designing and implementing inspection frameworks to assess business performance and financial outcomes. You’ll build new mechanisms to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, and you’ll providing financial insights that drive our day-to-day business and position us for future growth.
You are a well-rounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving, and possess strong attention to detail.


Key job responsibilities
• Building rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction
• Leading the financial support for existing Data & AI Business reviews (WBR, MBR etc.), providing key insights on progress toward goals, working with teams on get-to-green plans, and assessing future risks.
• Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help the team make data-driven decisions
• Driving thought leadership to identify and implement solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes
• Collecting analyzing, and presenting data-driven research that challenges status quo and champion change
• Performing ad-hoc analysis proactively and present findings to senior leadership


Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience with SQL or ETL
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
