Amazon is seeking a Tech Business Developer II to manage approved vendor lists, supplier qualification, and price negotiation, and to oversee new supplier onboarding in Agile or ERP environments. The role involves compiling and analyzing data to optimize sourcing and supply chain decisions, supporting OEM initiatives, and driving quarterly executive reviews of the strategic sourcing plan. You will act as a liaison to the business process team, develop a commodity technology roadmap, and collaborate with Engineering and Planning to align requirements with supplier capabilities. This position permits 100% telecommuting and offers a salary range of $149,392 to $160,000 per year.

Multiple Positions Available:
1. Responsible for an approved vendor list (AVL) for commodity managing supplier selection, qualification and price negotiation.
2. Manage all aspects of new supplier bring-up including database management in Agile or other ERP systems.
3. Compile and analyze data in order to facilitate optimized sourcing and supply chain decisions.
4. Support our OEM supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions, VMI/JIT, lead-time reductions, and favorable payment terms, among others.
5. Help drive quarterly executive business reviews of strategic sourcing plan that defines, among other things, market and business analysis, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and annual / quarterly strategic business objectives.
6. Act as a liaison to the business process team in order to implement best-in-class supply chain practices.
7. Develop a commodity technology roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities.
8. Work closely with Engineering to influence technical design decisions to meet expectations, technical capabilities, and business objectives.
9. Interface with Planning and Program Management to assess current and future sourcing requirements.
10. Maintain expertise/knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures, technical improvements and competitive landscape.
11. 100% telecommuting permitted; work may be performed from anywhere in the U.S

(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $149,392 /year - $160,000 /year

Basic Qualifications

A master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration or Management, Engineering, Engineering Management, Project Management, or a related discipline and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a program/project management or supply chain management related occupation. In the alternative, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration or Management, Engineering, Engineering Management, Project Management, or a related discipline and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a program/project management or supply chain management related occupation.

Experience must include:
(1.) 1 year of experience in managing cross-functional projects and programs with tight deadlines.
(2.) 1 year of experience in product or process definition, having taken a product or process from concept to execution.
(3.) 1 year of experience in supply chain, logistics or manufacturing for a hardware device company.
(4.) 1 year of experience in using AGILE.
(5.) 1 year of experience in design and utilization of complex systems.
(6.) 1 year of experience in using SQL, Excel, Access.


The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $149,392 /year - $160,000 /year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
