Actuarial data analytics role focusing on building and interrogating a data warehouse that consolidates sales, quotations (including group quotations), inforce, group, health and claims data for analyses. Responsible for conducting large-scale experience analyses and exploring unusual results, supporting marketing in planning and development of new product features, and using CVI to identify valuable customers. Produce ad-hoc investigations for senior management and contribute to the annual Non-Economic Assumptions review (mortality, health, lapses, unit costs, stochastic variables).

Job Description: Additional technical margin analyses Assist in developing an actuarial data warehouse that brings together KAL’s data from sales, quotations (including group quotations), inforce, group, health and claims data for analyses Be proficient in interrogating the data warehouse to support new ideas with analyses and statistics. Support Marketing in the planning and development of new product features. Analyse insurance and population statistics to use in product filings with the OIC, in order to reduce KAL’s dependence on reinsurers. Support the Head of Actuarial Analytics in exploring new ideas to increase profits. Produce ad-hoc investigations for senior management. Experience analyses Handle large amounts of policy and claims data and to ensure that all of the data is included in the experience analyses. Able to program and run experience analyses tools. Explore and explain unusual results and trends through deeper analysis. Perform the analyses for the annual Non-Economic Assumptions review (mortality, health, lapses, unit costs, stochastic variables) Write the first draft of experience reports six monthly. Customer Value Measurement Handle large amounts of policy, customer and financial data and integrate the data correctly. Use MCEV principles to calculate the Customer Value Index (CVI) that identifies KAL’s most valuable customers. Use the CVI to measure the success of Marketing campaigns. Qualifications: Bachelor or Master Degree in Actuarial studies / Statistics / Mathematics / Sciences At least 3 years of life insurance working experience preferably in either valuation or pricing A good understanding of life insurance products A good knowledge of Excel, VBA, SQL and Prophet (or similar packages) is required.
