Manage and maintain AXA PH databases to ensure security, availability, and optimal performance. Design and implement new database systems (with a focus on MS SQL), develop standards and best practices, and optimize performance. Monitor database security and integrity, disaster recovery plans, backup/recovery operations, and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with relevant policies and collaborate across teams as needed.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining AXA PH databases, ensuring they are secure, available, and performing optimally. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Design and implement new database systems and architectures, with a focus on MS SQL. Develop and maintain database standards and best practices Optimize database performance and resolve performance-related issues Monitor and maintain database security and integrity Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures Perform database backup and recovery operations Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues Ensure compliance with relevant policies QUALIFICATIONS: Graduated from a Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fiel 5+ years of experience in database design, development, and administration Experience with MS SQL Server or Oracle Experience with Azure cloud database services Experience with NoSQL a plus Experience with database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning Experience with disaster recovery planning and procedures Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
