Expected to contribute to strategic technical planning and foster best practices. What you’ll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include? Lead the design and implementation of complex or high-impact features. Recommend technical solutions and provide input into architectural design. Support impact analysis and estimation for large, complex initiatives. Leads engineering capability within team, including mentoring and coaching junior team members. Conduct complex code reviews, helps create coding standards and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical strategies. Supports long-term planning within the delivery team. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in development processes. Support system administration tasks, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise tools and platforms. Maintain documentation, training materials, and provide guidance or training to technical team members and end-users as needed. Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Produce Low Level Designs based on requirements and agreed solutions. Provide foundational administration support for the portfolio management system and related processes; train and coach team members to perform these duties as well: Perform user set up and administration, Manage tickets and emails and allocate work, adhering to established service levels, Respond proactively and professionally to internal customer queries, working with colleagues to resolve; promptly resolving escalations for our internal customers, while driving consistency and simplification, Monitor application availability; work with AXA XL and vendor community as needed to quickly resolve issues, Maintain and update application structures and hierarchy Train and guide team on recent updates related to Planview Products, Work internally with Network team and Security team to make sure system is compliant, Ad-Hoc report delivery based on Management and Leadership needs, Lead and monitor team to deliver year end changes related to Planview configuration and reporting changes, Work closely with Project Management community and Leadership to understand impacted changes and deliver, Improve and avoid manual efforts by automating repetitive tasks by using Power Apps and Power Automate. Ensure Tier 3 escalation support prior to engaging vendor resources for product defects and issues. Lead technical efforts related to new system releases and models. Work closely with Portfolio Management Office (PMO) & Resource Management Office (RMO) to understand business priorities, requirements and solution roadmap for new capabilities and enhancements. Configure and test data sets and design/develop standard reporting for use by leadership and portfolio/ project/ resource managers. Ensure controls in place are followed across the PMO platform, including but not limited to Information Security, Data Privacy and Data Standards. Build deep knowledge of the system and process; seek ways to simplify PMO processes and user experience. Review regular vendor releases for immediate change impacts to current processes and enhanced capabilities. Own system fixes and enhancements from idea to delivery, working with PMO and AXA XL colleagues to translate feedback, ideas and internal customer requirements into technical and process solutions. Ensure PMO/RMO tools, data and files are current and appropriately maintained; maintain training materials and provide training sessions as needed. Other duties as required. Deep expertise in relevant technologies, tools, and architectural patterns, especially related to project/portfolio management tools, databases, and scripting. Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence team direction. Strong experience with system configuration, administration, and supporting lifecycle management of enterprise applications. Leadership in secure coding practices, code quality and DevOps. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to assess technical risks and make strategic decisions. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Ability to lead and develop technical colleagues. Relevant years of experience in Planview portfolio application Administration. Planview Portfolios Administration Certification. Relevant years working knowledge of the Planview Application suite of products and shared services; ProjectPlace, Agileplace, Roadmaps, Admin, Logbook, OKRs and .Me. Relevant years’ proven end-to-end application administration experience with one or more project/portfolio management tools such as Planview Enterprise One, LeanKit, Jira, Azure, Clarity or PPM. Relevant years’ experience Advanced Microsoft Visual Basic or SQL scripting. Relevant years’ experience designing and building reports using SSRS or Power BI. Relevant years’ experience with Microsoft Office Package, with advanced MS Excel skills. Relevant years of experience with SQL Server and Database administration. Relevant years of experience with DAX, Data Modelling (Start Schema/Snowflake schema) and power Query. Relevant years of experience with Power BI Service, Workspace settings, Row Level Security concepts and publishing reports. Relevant years of experience with Tabular models and Cubes. Relevant years of experience with SOAP UI and rest APIs. Desired Skills and Abilities: Experience of working in the Insurance industry or a related financial field Knowledge of project management tools like Planview, Jira, Clarity, or Azure DevOps, including system configuration and user support. Experience with SQL, scripting (e.g., Power BI, SSRS), and report development. Familiarity with data privacy, security standards, and process automation.
