YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with French to join our team. This role will be crucial in managing database processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in optimizing database performance, ensuring high availability and maintaining database systems.

YOUR TASKS

  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
  • Manage database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Optimize and tune database performance, including queries, indexes, and storage.
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, and procedures to support business applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain database systems (for example : SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Develop and maintain database documentation.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches with minimal downtime.
  • Manage database access and user permissions.

YOUR PROFILE

Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Database Technology, e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server.
  • Fluent English and French languages.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of database systems (for example : MSQL, MariaDB, DB2 (On linux and AIX), Oracle (on IBM AIX), MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres).
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Hands-on experience with database monitoring and performance tools.
  • Understanding of data security, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of database design principles and normalization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
