Design, develop, and maintain COBOL programs on IBM zOS mainframe systems. Create, modify, and optimize JCL scripts for batch job execution. Work with DB2 (SQL and stored procedures) and CICS for online processing, with a focus on performance tuning. Job Description

  • Design develop and maintain COBOL programs on IBM zOS mainframe systems
  • Create modify and optimize JCL scripts for batch job execution
  • Work extensively with DB2 for SQL queries stored procedures and performance tuning
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Debug and troubleshoot applicationlevel issues ensuring timely resolution
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business analysts and QA for endtoend delivery
  • Perform unit testing and support integrationsystem testing
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards best practices and compliance requirements
  • Provide production support and resolve incidents related to mainframe applications

    Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of handson experience in COBOL development on mainframe systems
  • Strong expertise in JCL and DB2 including SQL and stored procedures
  • Familiarity with CICS for online transaction processing
  • Proficiency in TSOISPF and mainframe debugging tools
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problemsolving analytical and communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of COBOL programs
  • Knowledge of mainframe utilities SORT IDCAMS etc
  • Exposure to DevOps tools for mainframe environments'

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 61087 - 104364

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
