Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Linux/Middleware Engineer with strong management capabilities to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role combines deep technical expertise in Linux systems and middleware technologies with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring team members, overseeing complex projects, and contributing to IT initiatives.

  • Develop and deploy applications on RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Write and optimize SQL for Oracle/MySQL.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Unix/Linux-based applications and middleware.
  • Lead and guide technical teams in deploying, configuring, and optimizing RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka solutions.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Assist in system monitoring, logging, and automation.
  • Provide resolution for infrastructure and middleware-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with teams for project delivery and documentation.
  • Ensure system security, patching, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Automate tasks using shell scripting or configuration management tools.
  • Maintain robust backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployments and upgrades.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Contribute to IT strategy, architecture, and infrastructure planning.
  • Ability to lead technical teams and manage complex system deployments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in Linux system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with middleware applications.
  • Experience in technical delivery, infrastructure management, and middleware platforms.
  • Experience with RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix shell scripting and SQL (Oracle/MySQL).
  • Experience in middleware troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Perl, or Python).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS).
  • Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and enterprise backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes.
