Join Commerzbank's International Open Banking (IOB) team in Prague as a Business Analyst. You will work closely with the Product Owner and development teams to translate business needs into clear, structured, and practical technical solutions, acting as the link between international stakeholders and the IT organization. You will clarify requirements, design solutions, and ensure smooth delivery across Commerzbank IT systems and teams, including collaboration on Open API specifications and backend services. You will also support backlog refinement, define functional test scenarios with QA, and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement.
In Commerzbank, the International Open Banking (IOB) enables secure and efficient digital banking experience for its international corporate clients, the clients located in 20+ countries worldwide, the clients located outside Germany.
The IOB is inhouse developed Software. Our mission is to integrate the Commerzbank international corporate clients through the modern Frontend, API and Backend solutions. All built on a scalable technology stack and robust architectural landscape. As we want to drive reliable, future-ready digital corporate banking services across the markets.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our agile IOB team in Prague. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Owner and the development team to turn business needs into clear, structured, and practical technical solutions. You will act as the link between the stakeholders or our international branches, and their business units, and the Commerzbank IT. You will help to clarify the requirements, you will design solutions, and you will ensure smooth delivery across all the Commerzbank IT systems and teams.
Your tasks
- Collect and analyze business requirements and prepare business specifications.
- Translate business specifications into clear user stories and technical specifications.
- Support issue analysis, defect handling, and root cause investigations.
- Support backlog preparation and refinement together with the Product Owner.
- Design and describe business processes and system interactions.
- Work with Open API specifications and backend services.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to manage system dependencies and interfaces.
- Define functional test scenarios together with Quality Assurance.
- Maintain documentation and support knowledge sharing.
- Help ensure stable operations and continuous improvement.
Your profile
- Corporates banking knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills and structured working style.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment.
- Experience writing user stories and functional specifications.
- Experience working in agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).
- Experience working with APIs and backend/microservice architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and data structures.
