Based in Commerzbank Digital Technology Centre Prague, the role focuses on developing and maintaining the Liquidity Risk Reporting infrastructure using Oracle Database. You will work in a cross-functional agile team with business and IT experts, leveraging Oracle PL/SQL, Java-based calculation engines, and an in-memory analysis solution (Atoti). Responsibilities include developing new features, enhancing existing functionality, deploying code, performing technical tests, and creating documentation for development and tests, while coordinating with business analysts. English is the team language; German is an advantage but not required.
In Commerzbank Digital Technology Center Prague, we are driving the transformation of a traditional bank into a digitally agile enterprise. Our team delivers a comprehensive range of IT solutions, and this particular role is part of the Valuations, Market & Liquidity Risk cluster within the Financial Risk Management department.
You will become a key member of a cross-functional team consisting of both Business and IT experts, focused on the development and maintenance of the Liquidity Risk Reporting infrastructure. This technology stack primarily leverages Oracle Database, complemented by Java-based calculation engines and an in-memory analysis solution (Atoti)
Our team is dedicated to continuously developing new features to meet evolving regulatory requirements and address the demands of our customers, the liquidity risk managers.
The team communication language is English, German is an advantage but is not required.
Your tasks
As an Oracle database engineer your responsibilities include:
- Development of new features in our Oracle based application in an agile environment
- Enhancing and modifying existing functionality
- Creating and changing job scheduling functionality in Automic Automation (UC4)
- Deployment of new code to our servers
- Technical test of newly developed software
- Creation of all required documentation for development and tests
- Discussion of requirements, design and testing issues with the business analysts.
- Third level support for the Liquidity Risk database
Your profile
Required Skills and Experience:
- Oracle database skills with an emphasis on
- data modelling
- PL/SQL development
- Performance tuning (including the usage of partitions)
- 3+ years of experience in developing applications in SQL and PL/SQL
- Analytical skills
- English on at least B2 level, both spoken and written
- Ability to work in a team of Oracle developers and business analysts
Nice to have:
- Experience in Unix
- Automic Automation (UC4) knowledge
- Knowledge about banking products
- German on a communicative level
