Responsible for the administration of Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB databases in production and testing environments. Maintains backup and recovery procedures, performs performance tuning and problem investigation. Supports databases in Linux environments on-premises or in the Azure and Google clouds; prepares environments using DevOps tools. Your area of work:
The Clearstream ICSD Core IT Operations department provides support to the company mission critical applications and environments 24/7 and ensures that all applications and services are all up and running at all times according to service level agreements for all internal Users and external Customers.
The application landscape mostly consists of Web, Java and C++ applications which are running on top of large customer databases. Frontend as well as backend security is a core concern in all applications and requires a high level of expertise to protect the company and Customer assets.
The Clearstream ICSD Core IT Operations team is responsible for Database administration, testing and production support of the whole Clearstream application landscape.
Your responsibilities:
- Administration of Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB databases in production and testing environments.
- Maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
- Performance tuning & problem investigation.
- Support databases in Linux environments on-premises or in the Azure and Google clouds.
- Environments preparation using DevOps tools.
- Technical and functional support of internal and external users of databases infrastructure.
- Provide on‑call support 24h/day for one full week, up to 12 weeks per year.
Your profile:
- University degree, BAC+2/3 in an IT related discipline or equivalent through relevant work experience
- Proven track record (min. 5-6 years) in a similar role
- Understanding of risk and security requirements
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work to tight deadlines
- High sense of responsibility and ability to work independently, efficiently and target oriented
- Good communication skills, organization skills, quick learner and flexible
- Excellent written and spoken English. French and/or German is an asset
