Seeking an experienced Consultant Specialist to provide production support for mainframe components including JCL, COBOL, DB2 and CICS. You will investigate system failures and incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement production fixes, while coordinating with Business & IT teams and providing on-call coverage. The role requires adherence to ITIL-defined SLAs, working as part of a global team with strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with incident, problem and change management.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Investigating system failures and incidents reported on the services supported.
  • Communicating with various Business & IT teams.
  • Exhibit Flexibility to work in shifts and provide on-call support.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and production fixes.
  • Working as a part of a global team.
  • Adherence to SLAs & service delivery procedures defined by ITIL framework.
  • Excellent problem solving and root-cause investigation skills are essential.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Good Grasp on Incident Management fundamentals is a ‘must have’
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience on JCL, DB2, COBOL, CICS.
  • Understanding of Job Scheduler like TWS etc’.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT Infrastructure is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of MQ is preferable. Exposure to support tasks is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Banking Payment Systems and/or Banking Domain is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Payment & Cash Management systems and Gateways like SWIFT is preferable.
  • Familiarity with Incident / Problem / Change Management procedures is preferable.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

  • Know-how of Problem and Change Management fundamentals would be beneficial.
  • Awareness of Logging and Monitoring Tools like Appdynamics ( Appd).
