Lead Software Engineer on the Infrastructure Platforms team responsible for building and enhancing self-service tools, APIs, and automation workflows to manage database resources. The role involves integrating database automation with CI/CD and cloud/on-prem infrastructure, developing secure production code, and designing/optimizing complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures. You will lead technical evaluations, drive communities of practice, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational stability and performance. Strong Python and database (MSSQL) experience, plus familiarity with ReactJS/NodeJS/Django and automation/CI-CD practices are required.

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Extensive experience in coding applications using ReactJS / NodeJS/ Python / Django / Databases.
- Extensive working experience in Database technologies and MSSQL will be preferred.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support business applications and data processing needs.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Exhibit excellent Python programming skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Practical cloud native experience
- Ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems
- Advanced development experience in one(Python preferred) or more programming language(s).
- Passion for learning new technologies and driving innovative solutions.
