Seeking an experienced Software Engineer to provide functional guidance and direction for Oracle HCM Cloud configuration and integrations. The role participates in all aspects of the SDLC, translating requirements into application modules, configuring HCM functionality, developing reports, and integrating with downstream systems via REST APIs. The position acts as a subject matter expert, leads cross-functional teams, performs root cause analysis using SQL and Oracle tools, and helps drive use of modern technologies and best practices. Strong communication skills are required to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Provide functional guidance and direction to support the business and its configuration teams, contractors, and vendors. Develop secure and high-quality deliverables, and review and debug functional configuration. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating functional requirements into application modules, and configuring or enhancing software application modules. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus. Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies. Add to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Consultant, Team Lead, Training Support Admin I (Training Coordinator), Human Capital Management [HCM] Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Consultant, Team Lead, Training Support Admin I (Training Coordinator), Human Capital Management [HCM] Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: configuring and customizing systems to meet business requirements using tools and technologies including Functional Setup Manager, HCM Design Studio, Page Composer, and Application Composer; testing applications and ensuring functional and performance requirements are met using Business Intelligence Publisher for reporting and validation, and HCM Extracts for data validation; ensuring data is accurately managed and reported using HCM Data Loader, HCM Spreadsheet Loader, and Business Intelligence Publisher; tackling design and functionality problems using HCM Design Studio, Page Composer, and Application Composer; using Structured Query Language (SQL) for query writing; diagnosing and debugging issues by extracting relevant data from HCM databases; configuring Oracle HCM Cloud applications including Workforce Administration, Compensation, and Jobs to manage employee records, organization structure, and HR processes; conveying complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences; conducting root cause analysis using SQL and Oracle Transactional Business tools; managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA software, Confluence, ServiceNow or SharePoint; developing reports with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence; developing self- service real time reports and complex reports for data extraction from HCM; integrating custom and third-party applications with Oracle system using REST APIs; utilizing Oracle HCM Data Loader and Oracle HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader to create data load templates for data corrections and new data loads including employee profiles, job profiles and salary structure updates; extracting data from Oracle HCM using HCM Extracts for reporting, data migration, and data integration with downstream systems; using BI Publisher for creating and distributing formatted reports and documents to business users; using Rest APIs for real time data extraction and integration with downstream applications and systems.
