Senior Power BI developer role within Morgan Stanley Technology to design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports, semantic models, and DAX calculations to support business decision-making. The role involves integrating data from multiple sources, performing ETL, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts. It also emphasizes leveraging GenAI/Copilot and automation for reporting, testing, and developer productivity, plus end-user support and documentation.

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

•Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making and analytics.
•Build and optimize semantic models, DAX calculations, and data visualizations for actionable insights.
•Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather requirements and deliver high-quality reporting solutions.
•Integrate data from various sources, perform ETL processes, and ensure data quality and consistency.
•Leverage GenAI, Copilot, and AI-driven tools to enhance reporting automation, testing, and developer productivity.
•Develop and maintain documentation for data models, report logic, and data flows.
•Conduct thorough testing and validation of reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and reliability.
•Support end-users with training, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements to reporting solutions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

•3–8 years of hands-on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development.
•Strong expertise in semantic modeling, DAX, and Power BI best practices.
•Demonstrated experience in leveraging GenAI, Copilot, or AI-based tools for reporting, automation, or testing, including automated test case generation.
•Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
•Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and integrating data from multiple sources.
•Solid understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
•Experience with automated testing and testing frameworks


Additional Skills (Good to Have):
•Familiarity with Python, Shell scripting, or other programming languages.
•Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
•Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
•Strong team player, dynamic, and eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
•Prior experience in finance, investment banking, or related domains is a plus.
