Senior Technical Business Analyst in the Compliance Technology team at Qube Research & Technologies. Collaborate with compliance, legal, risk and engineering teams to capture and translate regulatory and business requirements into functional and technical specifications, process models, and data flows. Use SQL, Python and data analysis to validate data, support regulatory reporting, surveillance and automated controls, and work closely with developers to ensure solutions are tested and delivered to production. Facilitate agile delivery (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.

The Compliance Technology team are responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions that enable QRT to meet its regulatory obligations and maintain robust control frameworks. This role collaborates with compliance, technology, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and effective solutions that support regulatory requirements, operational controls, and business goals. The successful candidate will combine strong technical business analysis skills with process design expertise. Responsibilities include gathering and analysing requirements, working closely with developers to translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensuring delivery of these solutions into production. The role also includes aspects of Scrum Master responsibilities, ensuring agile practices are followed and delivery is well-coordinated.

Your Future Role within QRT

  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Technology stakeholders to capture and refine business and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate complex compliance needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Map, analyse, and redesign compliance processes, identifying efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop target-state process and data flow models to support monitoring, reporting, and surveillance activities.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented, tested, and delivered into production.
  • Use SQL, Python, and data analysis techniques to validate data accuracy and completeness.
  • Support design and implementation of solutions related to regulatory reporting, surveillance, and automated controls.
  • Facilitate agile delivery by coordinating stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement within the compliance technology landscape.

Your Present Skillset

  • Significant experience in business analysis, process design, or related functions within financial services.
  • Strong background in process modelling, requirements gathering, and solution design.
  • Good understanding of regulatory or control frameworks (e.g., MAR, MiFID II, EMIR, SMCR, AML) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis, with working knowledge of Python.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, and workflow or compliance systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience working in agile environments, with ability to support delivery coordination and prioritisation.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple workstreams concurrently.
