Permanent Oracle DBA expert role based in Bengaluru, responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise Oracle database environments including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN and Exadata. The position emphasizes GoldenGate expertise, performance optimization, security and disaster recovery, with automation and monitoring built with OS scripting and DevOps tools. Department \/ Project Overview<\/strong> \u2013 GTS\/PAS\/DRE Team provides 24 * 7 production database support to all the MKT\/GDI & Retail Banking customers across SG group. Project includes incidents, requests & changes management on all the Retail applications hosted on multiple technologies including Oracle, MSSQL, Informix, DB2, Teradata & Open Source RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MongoDB & MYSQL). The project is responsible for the complete life cycle management of databases including Migrations, Upgrades etc. Additionally the project supports all the maintenance operations, performance analysis & troubleshooting, patching & DRP exercises.<\/p> Oracle DBA expert - Golden gate expertise Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure, high\u2011availability Oracle database environments. 2. Database Administration<\/p> Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases (Oracle 11g\/12c\/19c\/21c). 3. Performance Optimization<\/p> Conduct deep performance analysis using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and SQL tuning tools. 4. Security & Compliance<\/p> Implement advanced database security measures: encryption, auditing, access controls. 5. High Availability & Disaster Recovery<\/p> Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, and RAC clusters. 6. Automation & Scripting<\/p> Automate administration tasks using Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration<\/p> Work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams. 8. Troubleshooting & Support<\/p> Lead resolution of complex production incidents and root cause analysis. Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience. Soft Skills<\/p> Strong analytical and problem\u2011solving capabilities. Lead decisions on database topology, clustering, replication, and storage architecture.
Evaluate new Oracle features, technologies, and cloud offerings (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure).<\/p>
Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and Exadata environments.
Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.<\/p>
Optimize complex SQL queries, PL\/SQL code, and database workload distribution.
Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.<\/p>
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX).
Conduct regular security vulnerability assessments and remediation.<\/p>
Own DR drills, capacity planning, failover\/failback procedures, and resilience engineering.<\/p>
Build monitoring dashboards and alerts using OEM, Prometheus, or similar tools.<\/p>
Provide database expertise to architects, developers, and leadership.
Support release management, code deployment, and change management processes.<\/p>
Provide 24\/7 on-call support for critical systems.<\/p>
