Join Societe Generale's GTS/PAS/DRE team as a Principal Consultant and Oracle Database Architect focused on cloud and on‑premises database solutions. You will design, implement, optimize, and manage Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c+), perform advanced performance tuning, and lead migration, upgrades, and DR/backup strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, and GoldenGate. The role spans cloud architecture across OCI, Azure, and AWS, including automated provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams and provide technical leadership and best practices in a fast-paced, multinational setting.
Department \/ Project Overview<\/strong> \u2013 GTS\/PAS\/DRE Team provides 24 * 7 production database support to all the MKT\/GDI & Retail Banking customers across SG group. Project includes incidents, requests & changes management on all the Retail applications hosted on multiple technologies including Oracle, MSSQL, Informix, DB2, Teradata & Open Source RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MongoDB & MYSQL). The project is responsible for the complete life cycle management of databases including Migrations, Upgrades etc. Additionally the project supports all the maintenance operations, performance analysis & troubleshooting, patching & DRP exercises.<\/p> Skills required - Oracle database cloud expert , devops -<\/p> \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 python development (venv configuration, python packages, best practice, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0PEP \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0style guide, object oriented development) Role Overview Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, or later). OCI Autonomous DB, Exadata Cloud Service DevOps & Automation<\/p> Automate database tasks using Python, Shell scripting, Ansible, Terraform, etc. Collaboration & Leadership<\/p> Work closely with architects, developers, analysts, and security teams. Required Skills & Experience 15+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA and development experience. Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate Experience with OCI, AWS, or Azure cloud environments. Soft Skills<\/p> Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Qualifications<\/p> Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Cloud certifications. We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Expert & Cloud Developer to design, implement, optimize, and manage enterprise-grade database solutions both on\u2011premises and in the cloud. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle Database technologies, strong hands-on skills in PL\/SQL development, and proven experience in cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, or AWS.
This role requires strong analytical abilities, performance tuning expertise, and the ability to architect scalable, secure database and cloud solutions.<\/p>
Oracle Database Engineering<\/p>
Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Implement backup & recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
Manage database security, user access, auditing, and data masking.
Conduct database upgrades, migrations, and patching with minimal downtime.
Optimize database storage, indexing, partitioning, and memory management.<\/p>
Migrate on-prem Oracle databases to cloud platforms.
Implement automated provisioning, CI\/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Work with cloud services including:<\/p>
Azure\/AWS RDS for Oracle
Cloud networking, security, WAF, IAM<\/p>
Set up monitoring and alerting using OEM, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or OCI Monitoring.<\/p>
Provide technical guidance, documentation, and best practices.

Experience with Exadata or Autonomous Database.
Exposure to big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage.
