Lead and participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within Wells Fargo's Systems Operations. Contribute to increasing system efficiencies and reducing human intervention time, while ensuring high availability. Review and analyze operational support systems, application software, and management tools; collaborate with vendors and tech teams to resolve issues and meet deliverables. Lead the team to meet technical deliverables and maintain ITIL-based change, incident, and problem management processes.
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking Senior Systems Operations Engineer.
In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
At least 4+ yrs of application support experience in support role
Strong Banking domain knowledge would be added advantage
Expert in Unix/Windows operating system
Strong experience in automation using any of scripting (shell/Perl/Python).
Strong knowledge of any of Relational database ( Oracle/My Sql) & SQL queries
Flexible to work in shifts (APAC & UK ) on rotational basis
Expertise in ITIL processes (Change, Incident and Problem Management) for Application Support
Knowledge on any of monitoring tools like ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics , Splunk
Experience in supporting Apache or Weblogic Server or any similar Application servers.
Knowledge of IBM MQ Series, Tomcat
Experience in job scheduling tools like Autosys, control M, IBM Workload scheduler
Demonstrated experience in identifying critical issues and troubleshooting.
Responds to operation monitoring events in test and production environments
Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Should be able to influence various partners and Technology teams for quick restoration and ensure Application availability.
Take the lead for the issues and drive them to closure.
The MPAC India team is currently a 3 member team that provides services to all CIO teams in the change management space . The support model is 12x5 and without this backfill in place it would be difficult to provide the services and sustain reliable operations
