Sales Director in Accenture's Public Service practice focusing on Florida state, local, and higher education clients. This role origins and closes complex deals ($5M-$50M+) by aligning client imperatives with transformation strategies and leading cross-functional teams. You will build trust-based relationships with public sector executives and manage the full sales lifecycle from origination to closure. Location options include Tallahassee (preferred) or Jacksonville, with up to 100% travel.

The Sales Director is a complex deal shaper who aligns to client imperatives and solves business problems. Sales Directors target the right clients, grow quality pipeline, win profitable deals, and manage sales activities with the objective of creating mutually beneficial, trust-based relationships that create value. A person in this role is expected to originate and sell comprehensive deals with various operational components with a value range of $5M to $50M+.

As a Sales professional aligned to our Public Service practice, you have existing trust-based relationships with State agencies, major City/County agencies and/or Higher Education institutions within Florida. You will be accountable for driving incremental sales, originating, and closing deals with and through other public service executives.

Location: Ideally located in Tallahassee. Would also consider candidates located in Jacksonville.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide solutions to complex business problems/opportunities requiring in-depth knowledge of client buyer needs.

  • Expand our work in new areas of the client’s business through new offerings and services.

  • Drive sales process and outcomes to clients on a dedicated basis, growing a profitable pipeline and/or backlog of sales, through deal origination, sales negotiations, and closure.

  • Lead the entire origination process for a large deal working with the Client Account Lead and client team, bringing the right talent to the sales opportunities at the right time.

  • Bringing a focus on the entire sales life cycle of an opportunity from origination to closure.

  • Be the lead in ensuring the Accenture Sales Methodologies are implemented and followed to maximize win probabilities across a portfolio of assigned accounts.

  • Successfully lead and align a complex network of stakeholders.

  • Determine pursuit strategies, develop client messaging plans and relationships, and apply industry-leading transformation strategies and practices.

  • Travel as required, up to 100%
