Sales Director is a complex deal shaper who aligns to client imperatives and solves business problems, targeting the right clients, growing quality pipeline, and closing profitable deals. In the Public Service practice focused on Massachusetts, you will originate and sell comprehensive deals with State agencies, major City/County agencies, and Higher Education institutions, driving incremental sales and a profitable backlog. You will lead the origination process for large deals, assemble the right talent, and ensure the Accenture Sales Methodologies are applied to maximize win probability. Travel as required, up to 100%.
The Sales Director is a complex deal shaper who aligns to client imperatives and solves business problems. Sales Directors target the right clients, grow quality pipeline, win profitable deals, and manage sales activities with the objective of creating mutually beneficial, trust-based relationships that create value. A person in this role is expected to originate and sell comprehensive deals with various operational components.
As a Sales professional aligned to our Public Service practice, you have existing trust-based relationships with State agencies, major City/County agencies and/or Higher Education institutions within Massachusetts. You will be accountable for driving incremental sales, originating, and closing deals with and through other public service executives.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide solutions to complex business problems/opportunities requiring in-depth knowledge of client buyer needs.
· Expand our work in new areas of the client’s business through new offerings and services.
· Drive sales process and outcomes to clients on a dedicated basis, growing a profitable pipeline and/or backlog of sales, through deal origination, sales negotiations, and closure.
· Lead the entire origination process for a large deal working with the Client Account Lead and client team, bringing the right talent to the sales opportunities at the right time.
· Bringing a focus on the entire sales life cycle of an opportunity from origination to closure.
· Be the lead in ensuring the Accenture Sales Methodologies are implemented and followed to maximize win probabilities across a portfolio of assigned accounts.
· Successfully lead and align a complex network of stakeholders.
· Determine pursuit strategies, develop client messaging plans and relationships, and apply industry-leading transformation strategies and practices.
· Travel as required, up to 100%
