Google's Google Customer Solutions (GCS) sales team is hiring a Sales Manager for Engage, GCS Italy. You will lead a client-facing and sales team, recruit and develop talent, drive engagement and client satisfaction for a portfolio of SMB advertisers in Italy, and model effective sales behaviors including C-level engagement. You will analyze data, coach the team, and ensure readiness to deliver advertising solutions while tracking CRM metrics and business outcomes across the region.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in sales, marketing, advertising, online media, online retail or strategy consulting.
  • Experience in the Italian market, working with Italian clients or digital advertising agencies.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Ability to communicate in Italian and English fluently to support clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to model and coach sales behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection managing, engaged selling.
  • Ability to own sales team operations across Italy portfolio management, team building, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurement, execution.
  • Ability to be personable yet resilient, with good communication and people-management skills, and a passion for selling with a drive to innovate.
  • Ability to grow on immersion in a rapidly changing environment, and possess effective communication, problem-solving, and investigative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate and develop a client-facing and sales team.
  • Deliver against motivated business and product goals, grow engagement and client satisfaction for a portfolio of small businesses in an assigned market.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance with your teams to develop plans for customers while tracking activity and provide detailed data analysis weekly, driving consistent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tracking.
  • Model and coach business behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection managing, and selling.
  • Ensure team readiness to deliver advertising solutions and create a culture of business innovation and advertiser success on the team.
