Hands-on B2B Business Development Manager to build and scale Ring's Japan B2B business in a founding role. You will define strategy, build channel networks with distributors and home builders, and translate Japanese market needs into B2B offerings. You will manage pipeline, negotiations, and partnerships to drive sustainable revenue growth while representing Japanese customers to global product and marketing teams. This role requires executive communication, a customer-obsessed mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

You will build and inspire a positive, high-energy, results-oriented culture in our team, creating a measurable impact across Ring and the wider B2B industry landscape in Japan.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute short, medium, and long-term B2B growth strategies for Ring in Japan, identifying the right customer segments, channels, and partnership models to drive sustainable business expansion.
- Build and manage relationships with key B2B partners including distributors and home builders to develop a scalable channel network.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Japanese B2B security landscape using qualitative and quantitative data, identify differences from other countries, and uncover unmet customer needs and pain points.
- Serve as the voice of Japanese business customers by channeling market insights and customer feedback to global product and marketing teams, contributing to the development of B2B-specific offerings tailored for Japan.
- Stay constantly aware of the latest global Ring product and service roadmap, align it with Japan's B2B business growth strategy, and develop localized launch strategies. When necessary, negotiate with internal and international stakeholders to execute these strategies.
- Become a passionate advocate who communicates Ring's brand, products, and services to external business partners, industry associations, and media necessary for B2B growth.
- Drive pipeline development, deal negotiation, and contract closure with key accounts, ensuring consistent revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Navigate ambiguity and fast-moving priorities with agility, synthesizing input from diverse stakeholders to drive informed decisions and execution.
A day in the life
Your day often starts with partner outreach — following up on ongoing conversations, preparing for upcoming meetings, or responding to inquiries from prospective accounts.You are comfortable leading negotiations, crafting proposals, and closing deals, while also thinking ahead about how to grow the overall partner network.
Back at your desk, you might be analyzing pipeline data, preparing for a partner presentation, or working with internal teams to adapt materials for a Japanese B2B audience. You bring structure to ambiguity, move quickly when opportunities arise, and always keep the customer's needs at the center of every decision.

Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience- 8+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations- Experience bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment
