Lead and manage the Insurance industry-specific strategy on AWS, helping sales teams, account teams, and customers align on programs to move from on-premises to AWS-based services. Drive top-line revenue growth across all insurance market segments, and translate business and regulatory needs into AWS solutions and partner-led offerings. Collaborate with AWS solutions architects, professional services, and security/compliance to promote cloud best practices in areas such as regulatory compliance, security and resiliency, and digital experience platforms for insurers. Ideal candidates bring a strong background in Life and/or P&C insurance, experience with core systems (policy, claims, billing), and a proven ability to engage senior executives and accelerate adoption.
Key job responsibilities
You will drive new business across insurance, driving the organization as a whole to effectively sell into that industry, developing programs to accelerate our customers’ moves from legacy on-premises environments to AWS-based services. Your specialized industry knowledge and expertise bridges businesses and technology, and you understand the regulatory and compliance environment that our customer base operates in. You speak the language of our customers, mapping their business and regulatory needs to AWS services and partner-led solutions.
Your responsibilities will include driving top line revenue growth and overall end-customer adoption across insurance in all market segments, from Insurtech startups to the largest insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and other intermediaries. You will enable AWS Financial Services field teams to be more effective in their interactions with key prospects and customers.
You will work closely with AWS solutions architects, professional services, and security and compliance team members to develop and promote cloud best practices in areas such as LOB use cases, security, resiliency, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess a business development and P&C/Life insurance background within insurers, software vendors, or system integrators. The candidate should have demonstrated experience engaging with senior-level executives, and supporting account teams, on solutions sales or services opportunities. The candidate should have an understanding of the overall insurance landscape. Expertise in insurance core systems such as policy administration, claims, and billing; and a strong background in building and delivering Digital Experience Platforms, Portals, and Call Centers for insurance customers. You will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and a proven track record of tactical execution leading to the achievement of sales and market development goals.
An ideal candidate would have significant experience in the Financial Services and Insurance industry, with a focus on Life and P&C insurance preferred. They would have deep knowledge and experience with core insurance administration platforms: Guidewire, DXC, Fineos, ALIP, Verisk FAST, Insurity, Socotra. And they would have knowledge and experience with Insurance Call Centers, Customer Portals / Self-Service workflow, and Insurance Agent needs.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of solving problems with technology in the Global Financial Services Industry experience- 7+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- 7+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
- 7+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
