AWS Global Sales seeks a senior Principal Account Manager to drive new business acquisition and expand AWS adoption within the Financial Services Industry (FSI). The role emphasizes building long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and decision makers, and collaborating with partners and Solutions Architects to develop integrated business development strategies and extend market reach. You will create and execute comprehensive account/territory plans and go-to-market strategies to maintain a robust pipeline focused on cloud-based solutions for FSI. The ideal candidate will have deep cloud computing knowledge, a proven track record in large complex deals, and the ability to influence C-level executives.

We are seeking a dynamic Principal Account Manager who will be responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding AWS adoption within the sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong business development experience with technology solutions, proven ability to build strategic customer relationships, and deep understanding of cloud computing fundamentals to promote strategic growth and shape the future of cloud computing and AI adoption in the sector.

• Identify, qualify, and progress new business opportunities to drive new business acquisition
• Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and decision makers
• Collaborate with partners and SA to develop integrated business development strategies and extend market reach
• Create and execute comprehensive account/territory plans
• Develop and execute territory-specific go-to-market strategies; Build and maintain a robust pipeline

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record
- 20+ years in enterprise technology sales, with 10+ years in FSI sector
- Experience managing strategic accounts with high revenue potential
- History of competitive displacement wins
- Deep understanding of FSI regulatory environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience influencing C-level executives
- Senior sales leader from large IT vendors or Global SI with FSI portfolio
- Ex-CIO/CTO from major FSI institution with cloud transformation experience
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of FSI-specific solutions (core banking, trading platforms, risk management)
- Experience with GenAI, data analytics, modernization strategies
- Financial modeling and business case development expertise
