About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Pre-sales Consultant to join our Greater China team. • Collaborate with sales directors to develop and execute strategic account plans, identifying and pursuing upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Thoroughly understand each client’s business objectives and challenges to provide tailored solutions and best practices.

  • Act as the voice of the customer, providing valuable feedback and insights from the field to our Product and Engineering teams to guide product iteration and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is a plus.

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a client-facing role such as pre-sales, technical account management, implementation consulting, or customer success, specifically within the financial industry.

  • Proven experience managing relationships with large, strategic enterprise clients, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.

  • Deep understanding of financial data products, market analytics is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • A strong customer-centric mindset, with a relentless focus on delivering value and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding client satisfaction and retention goals.

  • Results-oriented with strong logical thinking, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.

Morningstar's hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to collaborate in-person each week as we've found that we're at our best when we're purposely together on a regular basis. In most of our locations, our hybrid work model is four days in-office each week. A range of other benefits are also available to enhance flexibility as needs change. No matter where you are, you'll have tools and resources to engage meaningfully with your global colleagues.
