This includes close engagement with government departments, transport authorities, regulators, and national infrastructure organisations. The role carries a significant UK growth mandate aligned to Capgemini’s Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D) business.

Strategic Leadership

  • Shape and lead large‑scale transformation strategies for public‑sector and transport clients.
  • Advise senior leaders on regulatory change, funding pressures, transport performance, resilience, and public‑service modernisation.
  • Guide transport and infrastructure clients on operational performance, asset management maturity, safety culture, and reliability improvement.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Act as a trusted networker with Chief Executives, COOs, Directors of Transport, and senior civil servants.
  • Oversee delivery of major transformation programmes across government, transport, and national infrastructure.
  • Develop and refine sector‑specific propositions for transport and public‑sector organisations.

Business Growth & ER&D Expansion

  • Lead bids, strategic proposals, and high‑value public‑sector and transport pursuits.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline across transport and government portfolios.
  • Carry a large UK growth target linked to Capgemini’s ER&D business, driving expansion across priority accounts.

Your Profile

The ideal leader brings:

  • Strong relationships across government, transport bodies, regulators, or Network Rail.
  • Deep understanding of UK public‑sector current affairs, transport challenges, infrastructure pressures, and the broader political landscape.
  • Proven success in driving major transformation programmes within complex organisations.
  • Exceptional networking ability and strong commercial instincts to identify, shape, and pursue strategic opportunities.
  • Credible executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence at the highest levels.
  • Experience operating across matrixed environments and leading multidisciplinary teams.
