Checkout.com is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Sales Engineer to join our fast-growing team in London to support our clients with integrating our revolutionary online payments platform. This mid-level position involves providing technical leadership and guidance to clients, predominantly in the UK, throughout the entire sales lifecycle. Responsibilities include technical ownership of client relationships from initial sales contact through solutioning, integration, and go-live stages, collaborating closely with Technology and Business teams to position Checkout.com capabilities effectively. The ideal candidate is an independent, high-achieving individual able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and exceed performance targets through personal drive. Key duties include supporting the commercial team to position products and solutions, understanding merchant technical requirements, running demos and POCs, leading technical interactions with merchants, supporting BID management with RFP/RFI responses, and being an expert on Checkout.com's platform and product. Required experience includes 3-5 years in sales engineering or related technical client-facing roles, strong commercial focus, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, familiarity with API-based integration and front-end/back-end technologies, and payments industry exposure. Nice to have are familiarity with PSD2/PSD3/PSR, additional languages, prior engineering or product management experience, and e-commerce industry background.
