The Senior Specialist, APM Relationships will manage and grow alternative payment method (APM) partnerships across Europe, executing go-to-market strategies, negotiations, and enablement projects to drive adoption of Checkout.com solutions. This hands-on, cross-functional role works with product, engineering, sales and marketing to launch and operationalize partnerships and meet commercial and performance goals.

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Specialist, APM Relationships to join the Financial Partnerships, Go To Market team to help drive growth and manage a book of partners in the European Market. Playing a critical role within our Financial Partnerships team, driving business development and revenue growth through strategic collaborations with major APM Partners (e.g., Paypal, Klarna, BLIK, Wero, etc).
Based in London and reporting into the Senior Manager of APM Relationships, this role is hands-on and highly cross-functional, where you'll work with some of the brightest minds in payments & fintech across product, engineering, sales, and marketing. With a combination of commercial focus and operational efficiency, the successful candidate is able to execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies with these key partners, and ultimately drive adoption of Checkout.com solutions across our core commercial pillars. Meanwhile, handling multiple projects simultaneous from conception to the operationalization of the partnership.
How you’ll make an impact:
Manage and grow APM relationships to develop and deliver payment solutions for merchants;
Lead negotiations with APM partners to establish mutually beneficial commercial terms, ensuring alignment with Checkout.com's revenue goals and risk appetite;
Oversee the day to day management of APM enablement projects, escalations and performance of APM Partner, ensuring smooth launch of products and partnerships and ongoing relationship management;
Collaborate with APM partners to develop comprehensive GTM plans encompassing joint marketing initiatives, sales enablement programs, and co-selling activities;
Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Account Management, Product) to promote Checkout.com APM solutions and drive adoption among our clients.
Serve as a key point of contact for APM partners, representing Checkout.com at industry events and fostering strong relationships within the payments ecosystem;
What we’re looking for:
3-5 years of experience in partnership management, or a related field within the payments or tech industries;
A mix of operations, project management, and relationship management skill set;
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally;
A strong sense of ownership to deliver business results with a focus on managing partner relationships;
Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex business challenges;
Good analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making.
