Job background context

The Pension & Insurance Solutions sales team is part of the Markets team, focusing on the strategic coverage of Pension funds & Insurers. The team has a cross-asset expertise to be able to address various issues (investments, hedging, capital optimisation, financing solutions) with different client profiles : CIO, CFO, Head of ALM, Portfolio Managers.

Job Purpose/Overview:

  • Solution Sales to Institutional Investors mainly consisting of insurance companies and pension schemes across Germany and Austria.
  • Work on the full range of cross product solutions with the objective to enhance existing and develop new relationships with clients and internal partners.  
  • The role is set up as a generalist sales role and not limited to one product area.
  • Embedded in a European and German solution sales organisation, this role offers the full potential of Citi’s platform to be deployed for the German Pension & Insurance business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand the full product range of Citigroup’s Fixed Income franchise
  • Support the senior sales coverage on all daily tasks
  • Active role in acquisition and development of new client relationships
  • Cover smaller accounts independently on FICC and cross products
  • Quantitative and qualitative Analyses of Markets, Products, Customers, Competitors
  • Prepare Term-sheets, Marketing materials, and Presentations
  • Transaction preparation, execution and post-sales service
  • Client visits using research, trading & structuring

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Good knowledge and understanding of economy & financial markets
  • Analytical skills in credit analysis & economics
  • Knowledge of the pension and insurance market including regulatory implementation and constraints
  • First relevant experience in a financial service organisation (in markets or consulting)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar as a minimum
  • Flexibility, team spirit, loyalty
  • Sales and communication skills
  • Stress resistant
  • PC skills
  • Fluent in English and German
