Role Overview: Fortinet is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to focus on Cloud in Japan. You will develop account plans, drive quarterly sales goals, and maximize Fortinet opportunities with enterprise customers. You will collaborate with account managers, build relationships with key decision makers and partners, and manage a territory pipeline while traveling within the region. The position requires a proven track record in technology sales or pre-sales, experience with cloud or network security, and strong leadership and communication skills.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop account plans to achieve goals and exceed quota responsibility.
  • Achievement of agreed quarterly sales goals.  
  • Maximize Fortinet opportunity while providing value added solutions to enterprise institutions.
  • Works closely together with the account managers in order to maximize the primary business focus and serves as team leader responsible for the quality and success of activities in the territory.
  • Develops relationships with key decision makers, influencers and partners.
  • Manages effective working relationships with assigned region MAMs, Technical Sales Engineers, and Consulting Professionals.
  • Consistently builds and delivers on an accurate territory pipeline.
  • Travels within assigned territory is required.

We Are Looking For:

An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:

  • 6+ years technology selling experience or extensive experience in pre-sales/architecture.
  • Proven ability to communicate solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Experience in either cloud security or network security.
  • A proven track record of high level achievements and demonstrated career stability.
  • Experience in working on large deals whether through direct selling or pre-sales. 
  • Selling or architecture experience with cloud.
  • Excellent presentation skills to executives & individual contributors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Goal oriented individual, with vast interpersonal managerial skills, strong business acumen and positive leadership abilities with proven results in mentoring, motivating and developing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
