What you will do
As a Business Development Manager in Budapest, you will identify and execute growth opportunities with strategic merchants to help Klarna become everyone’s favorite way to shop.
• Identify new opportunities with large merchants to support their growth objectives.
• Build and execute joint business plans to drive mutual success.
• Collaborate with internal analysts, delivery, and marketing teams on enablement and lead generation.
• Identify new partnerships, pitch Klarna’s services, and close deals.
• Build strong relationships at both executive and individual levels.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships including C-suite executives.
• Conduct market research and position Klarna competitively.
• Network effectively and develop strong professional relationships.
• Identify areas for improvement with strategic partners.
• Adapt Klarna’s business model to remain locally relevant.
Who you are
• Based in Budapest.
• Fluent in Hungarian and English (full professional proficiency).
• 4+ years’ experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales.
• Experience in retail, payments, or e-commerce.
• Passionate about new cultures and business growth.
• Highly driven and entrepreneurial.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
