Senior Solutions Engineer responsible for defining Klarna product solutions for large merchants and partners, owning technical aspects of the pre-sales process and delivering solution proposals. You will lead product demos, technical deep-dives, and translate customer requirements into integrated solutions, partnering closely with sales and account teams. When custom development is required, you will architect the solution with the client and lead its realization.
What you will do
As a Senior Solution Engineer, you are responsible for defining Klarna product solutions for our biggest merchants and partners based on their needs. You work closely with the sales team to provide technical product knowledge and support during the sales process.You are a trusted advisor for both internal and external stakeholders and own all the technical aspects of the pre-sales process as well as delivery of solution proposals to clients. This includes leading product demos and presentations, providing technical input into customer proposals, and translating product and business requirements into innovative solutions. When a customized solution requires development, you will define the client’s needs, architect the solution together with the client, and lead the realization effort.
Who you are
• Minimum 6 years’ experience working with and/or implementing technical solutions.
• Experience integrating with or supporting Payment Service Providers (PSPs), gateways, or acquirers.
• Experience leading technical deep-dives and pre-sales discussions while managing client expectations.
• Outstanding problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn, and curiosity.
• Adaptable and comfortable with continuous change.
• Familiar with at least one modern back-end language (Java, TypeScript/Node.js, C#/.NET, or Go) and API design (REST, webhooks, OAuth).
• Experience with modern payment tech stacks (eComm platforms, PSPs/gateways, orchestration layers).
• Some sales or account management experience.

• Excellent at communicating complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with card network concepts (settlement, tokenization, disputes, transaction monitoring).
• Confident presenting solutions with Account Managers to clients.
