Sales Specialist for LSEG Risk Intelligence in Tokyo focused on prospecting new business and selling standard offerings. You will build client relationships, apply domain knowledge in KYC/AML and governance, and translate industry trends into value for customers. You will drive opportunities through the sales cycle, collaborate with lead-gen and account management, and handle proposals and Salesforce tasks. This is a role in a global sales team with hybrid working arrangements.

Role summary:

We are looking for a talent who are aspired to build their sales career in the Risk Intelligence space. If you are passionate about KYC, AML and governance, you will enjoy learning about our Risk Intelligence product offerings and contributing to the society.

As a Sales Specialist, you will deliver prospecting for new business and sells standard offerings, building internal and client relationships to solve challenges. Are you looking to advance your career in a truly global sales team? Come join our team in Tokyo!

What you'll be doing:

  • Seeks new business or new product sales through new account acquisition and / or penetration of new buyer hubs and delivers against target in assigned territory.
  • Encourages confidence in customers through domain expertise. Integrates knowledge of industry trends and personal experience to deliver value to customer(s).
  • Builds valuable connections within the client organization, using networks to facilitate introductions and unlock previously inaccessible opportunities.
  • Proactively thinks through customer workflows and how they can be impacted as a basis for solutions selling and cross-business deal making, to improve contract value.
  • Conducts high-efficiency, high-output prospecting; collaborates efficiently with lead-gen, account management, and other colleagues ensuring constant coverage of expansion opportunities and participation in customer life-cycle framework.
  • Excels in advancing opportunities through sales stages; exceeding close rate expectations by anticipating obstacles and late-stage delays, preventing them from interrupting sales.
  • Handles administrative requests such as proposals, benchmark calculators and salesforce related tasks to progress against sales goals at pace and with efficiency.

What you'll bring:

  • 3 years+ experience in customer-facing roles in financial institutions, data providers or technology industry or equivalent
  • A strong interest in AML (anti-money laundering), compliance and technology behind our products such as cloud infrastructure and API
  • Proactive learning style and learning agility
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, both at business level
  • Customer-focused to solve problems in customer workflows
