Join MSCI’s Index Client Coverage Team in Latin America as an Index Sales Specialist, responsible for driving MSCI’s index business across key Latin American markets. You will develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, banks and other financial institutions, and combine sales, business development, and product expertise to grow MSCI’s footprint in the region. The role requires a strong relationship-builder and entails travel across the region to meet clients, attend conferences, and strengthen relationships, with the aim of achieving revenue targets and contract retention. You will collaborate with internal teams (Research, Product Management, Client Service, Legal) to deliver tailored index solutions and feed product development with client feedback.

Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking to expand MSCI’s Index Client Coverage Team in Latin America with a commercially driven and results-oriented individual with financial services sales experience. The Index Sales Specialist will play a critical role in driving MSCI’s index business across key markets in Latin America. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, banks, and other financial institutions. This role combines sales, business development, product expertise, and client engagement to grow MSCI’s footprint in this strategic region. Success requires a consummate relationship builder, both internally and externally, to drive sales and achieve revenue targets. The individual will work closely with all parts of MSCI, including Client Service, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Research, and Product Management.
Travel across the region is required to meet clients, attend conferences, and strengthen relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow MSCI’s Index franchise across Latin America.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with asset managers, wealth managers, banks, broker-dealers, pension funds, insurance companies, and other financial institutions.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Research, Product Management, Client Service, Legal) to deliver tailored index solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle and ensure contract renewals and run-rate retention.
  • Represent MSCI at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Provide client feedback to help shape product development and strategic initiatives.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • +8 years of experience overall, and +4 years of experience specifically in Sales in financial services, preferably in client coverage within Index, ETF, or Data sales.
  • Strong passion for business development, client prospecting, and account management.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex client relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial, client-focused, and collaborative approach with relentless drive to deliver results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to understand technical products and market trends.
  • Good understanding of capital markets and investment processes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. Master’s Degree, MBA, or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Latin America.
