What you’ll do

 

A Senior Presales Architecture Advisor operating within a clearly defined engagement scope who contributes to strategic account planning and solution positioning, collaborates on complex opportunities within the account team, and, as capability develops, independently leads small to medium non-complex engagements.

 

This role focuses on presales advisory, target-state architecture, and transformation roadmap definition; implementation delivery remains with SAP Services and/or partners.

 

Account Planning & Architecture Management

 

  • Contribute to strategic account planning and architectural positioning aligned to customer business and IT priorities.
  • Lead architectural engagement on small, contained presales opportunities.
  • Collaborate on complex opportunities as part of the broader advisory team.
  • Develop and articulate technical points of view that support clear and credible solution positioning.
  • Contribute to cloud and hybrid architecture positioning aligned to customer priorities.
  • Ensure proposed SAP solutions align with the customer’s current landscape constraints and are realistically achievable.
 
 

Creating an SAP Architecture Vision for the Customer

 

  • Produce AS-IS and TO-BE architecture designs for small scoped landscapes.
  • Contribute defined architectural components within larger transformation engagements.
  • Support validation of customer enterprise landscapes and target state definitions.
  • Shape customer business requirements into actionable architectural designs across business, application, data, and technology domains.
  • Ensure integration patterns and landscape dependencies are considered within scoped architecture designs.
  • Contribute to the incorporation of modern SAP innovation themes, including cloud, data, AI-enabled capabilities, and clean core principles, within scoped architectural designs.
 

 

Building Key Customer Architecture Deliverables: Business & Solution Architecture, Target State, Transformation Roadmap

 

  • Contribute to transformation roadmap development, owning defined sections for scoped engagements.
  • Establish and maintain LeanIX workspaces for defined presales opportunities, ensuring they accurately reflect opportunity positioning and architectural intent.
  • Maintain architectural artefacts across LeanIX and related presales documentation, including scoped capability mappings, application landscapes, and transformation roadmaps.

 

Architecture Engagement & Workshops

 

  • Facilitate architecture workshops with customer IT and solution stakeholders.
  • Support executive architecture sessions as part of the wider advisory team.
  • Ensure architectural integrity, feasibility, and integration awareness across presales deliverables.
  • Identify architectural risks and constraints within engagement scope.
  • Present and articulate architectural concepts and solution designs clearly and confidently to customer stakeholders, supporting opportunity progression.

 

What You Bring

 

  • Experience contributing to and delivering SAP landscape architectures.
  • Ideally a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture within presales or end-customer IT advisory roles in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience contributing to target-state architecture designs and transformation roadmaps within presales engagements.
  • Working knowledge of cloud architectures and SAP-centric landscapes.
  • Broad knowledge of the SAP portfolio, with the ability to develop deeper expertise in at least one core solution area over time.
  • Ability to engage IT stakeholders and articulate architectural concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Experience using Enterprise Architecture methods, frameworks, and modelling tools.
  • LeanIX experience or demonstrable ability to manage architectural artefacts within a structured repository environment.
  • Demonstrated potential to expand architectural scope and assume broader advisory responsibility over time
  • Education & Certifications
    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
    • Enterprise Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent recognised frameworks) desirable.
    • LeanIX certification desirable.
    • SAP-related certifications desirable.
    • Fluency in English required.
