As a Solution Advisor, you will act as a trusted subject-matter expert for SAP Business Network within the sales organization, supporting the entire sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to renewal. You will collaborate with SAP SCM, Industry, and Account Teams to position SAP Business Network solutions, including Supply Chain Collaboration, Logistics Collaboration, Asset Collaboration, and Commerce Automation. Responsibilities include providing deep presales expertise, qualifying opportunities, designing and delivering standard and personalized solution demonstrations, and leading executive-level conversations to articulate business value. The role also covers preparing RFIs and RFPs, supporting deal closure, ensuring a structured handover to implementation, promoting adoption and renewal, and traveling up to 10% in the region.

What you’ll do

 

As a Solution Advisor, you will act as a trusted subject-matter expert for SAP Business Network within the sales organization. You will support the entire sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through deal closure, transition to implementation, adoption, expansion, and renewal.

You will collaborate closely with SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM), Industry, and Account Teams to position SAP Business Network solutions—including Supply Chain Collaboration, Logistics Collaboration, Asset Collaboration, and Commerce Automation—.

 

Key Responsibilities

·  Support sales teams throughout the full presales cycle by providing deep, solution-specific expertise.

·  Qualify customer opportunities and assess account readiness to determine appropriate presales investment.

·  Collaborate with sales and industry teams to define solution positioning, value messaging, and competitive differentiation.

·  Understand customer business objectives and translate them into relevant SAP Business Network solution scenarios.

·  Design and deliver standard and highly personalized solution demonstrations that clearly articulate business value.

·  Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations that are simple, compelling, and outcome-oriented.

·  Conduct thorough dry runs for strategic deals and high-impact customer engagements.

·  Lead executive conversations, address objections, and reinforce SAP’s differentiated value proposition.

·  Contribute to and complete solution-related sections of RFIs and RFPs.

·  Support deal closure and ensure a structured handover of requirements and solution context to implementation partners or SAP Services.

·  Engage with customers post-sale to promote solution adoption, consumption, and value realization.

·  Identify opportunities to expand the customer’s SAP footprint and support renewal motions.

·  Participate in one-to-many demand generation activities, including events, webinars, and executive briefings.

·  Leverage SAP’s pre- and post-sales value cycle (Engage, Plan, Discover, Prepare, Dry-Run, Present, Wrap-up).

What you bring

 

Experience & Knowledge

·  10+ years of professional experience in large enterprise software or IT organizations.

·  Advanced expertise in SAP SCM and related solution areas, combined with strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA. 

·  Familiarity with collaborative, multi-enterprise supply chain scenarios is a plus, but not mandatory.

·  Deep understanding of Supply Chain Planning and Execution processes, including:

o MRP and schedule-line collaboration

o PO-based supplier collaboration

o Contract manufacturing

o Inventory collaboration (VMI)

o Quality collaboration

o Logistics collaboration

o Invoice and financial collaboration processes

·  Strong understanding of cloud, SaaS, and PaaS models in B2B environments.

·  Recognized as a solution, line-of-business, or industry expert with a proven track record.

Education

·  University degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
