The Impact and Responsibilities:

You will be the first impression of S1 (S&P Global Energy) and act as a quarterback for the organization’s growth engine. In this role, you will interact with both current and potential clients to develop outreach strategies and diagnose their needs for analytical solutions and data services. Leveraging resources from marketing, product, sales, and relationship management teams, you will match our solutions to client requirements while partnering with the global sales teams to assess fit and introduce prospects to S1 offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect Identification & Qualification: Work through assigned S1 accounts to qualify potential prospects, identify the right users within an organization, and engage them in conversations about our products.
  • Multi-Source Lead Generation: Develop new business prospects from various sources, including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery, and individual research.
  • Outreach Strategy & Sales Support: Create and execute outreach strategies to drive appointments with Sales Representatives, while working on new logo accounts to engage prospects in the buying process.
  • Pipeline & Data Management: Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards, ensuring timely and accurate management of client data within CRM by recording all communications and attachments.
  • Relationship Cultivation: Build and nurture prospect relationships through initial and follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Continuous Learning & Collaboration: Grow product and sales knowledge by shadowing team members, attending demos, and seeking feedback, while collaborating with peers on best practices, competitive intelligence, and sales strategy

What We’re Looking For:

In a nutshell, the right candidate will be one who works well under pressure, thinks out of the box, easily initiates relaxed but informative two-way conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated. The right candidate will also understand how to assess a company's needs and tailor the Outreach to each prospect specifically.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years telemarketing and/or inside sales experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Performance-Driven Track Record: Proven history of achieving quotas, daily/weekly/monthly activity goals, and pipeline development targets, with a strong focus on research and revenue goals.
  • Relationship & Client Service Excellence: Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships, deliver excellent client service, and engage senior-level audiences with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resilience & Problem-Solving: Experience handling challenging situations, including objection handling and overcoming gatekeepers, while maintaining charisma and courage in the face of rejection.
  • Organizational & Technical Proficiency: Solid organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills, coupled with strong MS Office proficiency and advantageous knowledge of CRM databases such as Salesforce.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the financial industry and/or financial divisions and departments is considered a plus.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A supportive team player who enjoys working with, listening to, and understanding others to achieve shared goals.
