Fall 2026 UI Design Co-op/Intern at AMD in Markham, Ontario (hybrid). You will contribute to the product release cycle by designing user interfaces, defining interactions, and building click-through prototypes and production-ready assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product areas and gain hands-on experience with AMD products and advanced design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch). This role targets undergraduates or PhD students returning to school and offers mentorship and hands-on learning in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.

JOB DETAILS: Location: Markham, Ontario Onsite/Hybrid: This is a hybrid role (remote & in-office) as the hiring team will require the student to come to the office up to 3 days a week. Winter Duration: 4 Months: January 2026 to April 2026 8 Months: January 2026 to August 2026 Summer Duration: 4 Months: May 2026 to August 2026 8 Months: May 2026 to December 2026 THE ROLE As a UI Design Co-op, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the product release cycle, by communicating and working with team members to create user interface designs and solutions for new and existing software products. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Collaborate to define new and update existing features in our products Define user interaction and flow of features for new and existing products Develop and present designs with various teams Build click-through prototypes Create production-ready mockups and assets WHAT YOU'LL LEARN Increase knowledge of AMD products and their features Exposure to product release cycle Critical thinking and user experience interactions Platforms and device design Design tools at an advanced level Teamwork WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related discipline. Returning to school following internship Ability to work in a team and independently Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of mobile, desktop and responsive design Written and verbal communication and presentation skills Note: Students are kindly asked to add their Design Portfolio link in their resumes or cover letters.
