The Communications Specialist will support the site leadership and IXD Operations Team by developing, owning, branding, and executing all site visual communications and recognition programs. You will plan, coordinate, and execute onsite events and manage all written and visual communications across the site, coordinating with departments as necessary. This role requires excellent communication, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing workloads and priorities. A successful candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information.

Our Worldwide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team. In this role, you will ensure employee productivity is maximized and customer engagement is achieved. You will also play a key part in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

Our Operation’s workflow has three major components: First mile - where the product is housed and ready for order; Middle mile - where the order is hauled to your area; and Last mile - when the product is delivered to the customer’s door. Please note that all workflows have slight building variations, but one thing is constant: our vision and dedication to the customer.



Key job responsibilities
- Write and edit content for all employee communication throughout the site including but not limited to: newsletters, Stand Up announcements, Acid Feeds, InSTALLments, communication boards, table toppers, weather, overtime, events and any urgent communications
- Manage and develop all visual communication content for the site
- Manage all approval submission for visual communication throughout the site
- Manage vendor execution of installation of any visual within site
- Own approval process for postings, standards, and removal for all visual communication throughout the site
- Own stakeholder reviews regarding visual vision and branding of the site
- Plan, coordinate logistics with vendors and execute associate and community events
- Act as a liaison with departments across the site, as necessary
- Assist managers with production reports, update operation reports as needed, work on projects for creating reports, etc.
- Speak in front of large crowds during required meetings






A day in the life
The Communications Specialist will support the General Manager (GM) or Site Leader and IXD Operations Team. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for development, ownership, branding, and execution of all site visual communications, recognition programs, leading and coordinating onsite events.

This position requires excellent communication, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing workloads and priorities. A successful candidate will be highly organized, creative, extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information.

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

- A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills and expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Demonstrated creative design skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
