We’re seeking a future team member for the role of WEB CONTENT DESIGNER (VP) to join our digital marketing. This is a role in New York, NY.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Lead the strategy, execution, and governance of content-rich web experiences across our digital ecosystem. This web content designer will create component-based page designs, partner with UX and stakeholders to define new templates; operationalize efficient design/publishing workflows—leveraging AI technologies to accelerate delivery and improve quality. The ideal candidate blends creative direction with strong systems thinking, accessibility expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and assemble web pages using existing design system components and page templates.
- Create and iterate on page templates and content models to streamline publishing time.
- Partner with UX to propose and co-create new components based on business goals, client needs, and performance data.
- Maintain rigor in component usage, documentation, and governance to ensure consistency, scalability, and speed.
- Source, license, and curate imagery and visual assets aligned to brand standards.
- Prepare images in multiple formats and aspect ratios (e.g., SVG, PNG, JPG) optimized for responsiveness, performance, and accessibility.
- Evaluate and implement AI tools/workflows (e.g., content structuring, image variant generation, metadata creation, quality checks) to drive speed-to-market and consistency.
- Champion accessibility standards and component-level performance.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 5+ years of experience in web design/content design, with at least 3 years overseeing component-based web experiences and publishing workflows.
- Proven expertise designing with enterprise design systems and CMS-driven sites; strong understanding of content modeling and template governance.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with UX, Engineering, and Editorial teams to translate business goals and client needs into scalable components and page patterns.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud.
- CMS platforms (enterprise-scale).
- DAM systems, image optimization, and responsive design practices.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards.
- Experience evaluating and implementing AI tools/workflows in content operations with appropriate guardrails.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Portfolio that showcases component-based design, and measurable impact on performance or workflow efficiency.
- Exposure to design tokens, multi-brand or multi-locale systems, and governance frameworks.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $134,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
