Job Description

Remote Work:
Hybrid
Job Number:
R0233676
Location:
McLean,VA,US
Products Graphic Design Specialist, Lead

The Opportunity:

What if your work didn’t just explain products, but changed how people feel and believe in them? What if design wasn’t a service function but a revered point-of-view? What if your taste, attention to detail, and storytelling helped set the bar sky high for an entire organization? If you believe great experiences move culture forward, if you bring confidence and a little swagger without ego, and if you know how to lead by doing and by bringing others with you, this role may be a dream fit.

You will lead visual storytelling across product and go-to-market efforts, turning complex ideas into clear, compelling, and on-brand experiences. Your work will span digital print and presentation design, partnering closely with product, marketing, and senior leaders to shape narratives that elevate both our products and our company. You will act as a design ambassador, helping raise the level of craft, consistency, and design literacy. You will contribute to building a Product Design Experience (PDX) Playbook and help shape creative spaces and rituals that encourage collaboration, curiosity, and strong ideas. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end visual design, from ideation through execution, across product, go-to-market, and marketing materials, including pitch decks, graphics, and digital assets.
  • Translate complex data, product information, and concepts into clear, compelling visual stories that resonate with executives and technical audiences alike.
  • Partner closely with product, marketing, and senior leaders to ensure consistent, high-quality, and on-brand design across digital, print, and presentation outputs.
  • Help develop and contribute to a PDX Playbook while elevating design rigor, consistency, and a creative culture.
  • Collaborate on reimagining and shaping a physical creative space that encourages design, storytelling, and cross-team collaboration.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a visual graphic designer, operating across the full spectrum of work, from creative ideation to high-quality execution, while supporting product teams at pace
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Experience using tools such as Figma, FigJam, Mural, Jira, and PowerPoint, in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
  • Experience writing for and briefing executive leadership on future efforts
  • Knowledge of digital, print, presentation, and branding design for UI/UX, events, and integrated visual systems
  • Ability to translate complex information, data, and product content into clear, compelling visual storytelling, including for pitch decks and go-to-market materials
  • Ability to work as a highly collaborative self-starter who proactively shares ideas, asks questions, and partners closely with senior leaders
  • Ability to provide a portfolio of past work
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or Industrial Design field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience as a designer who has helped shape or elevate design culture, creative standards, or brand consistency within a team, product organization, or studio environment
  • Experience as a creator of videos, motion assets, or visual storytelling for marketing, product, or go-to-market purposes
  • Experience as a contributor to product playbooks, design systems, or documented design practices that guide how teams create and communicate visually
  • Knowledge of industry design trends, emerging tools, and best practices across digital, brand, and product design
  • Knowledge of how physical creative spaces such as studios, display areas, and collaboration spaces, can be designed to encourage creativity and cross-team collaboration
  • Ability to “chameleon” design and communication style appropriately based on audience, sector, and stakeholders such as executive, technical, product, or DoD or warfighter-adjacent partners
  • Ability to influence without authority, build strong relationships, and advocate for thoughtful and detail-oriented design
